Wimmera Medical Centre is a specialist medical clinic which has permanent and visiting specialists servicing the needs of patients in Horsham and the surrounding districts. We take pride in being a centre which cares for all without discrimination.
The Wimmera Medical Centre opened its doors in July 2011 and is continuing to expand services to the region.

The centre is conveniently located opposite the hospital, ensuring patients receive emergency treatment if required and it also provides great opportunity for hospital medical officers to liaise with the centre’s physicians, doctors and surgeons.

Located on site are two General Practice clinics.

Dr Mark Amilegbe

Dr Kate Graham

The John Pickering Medical Centre was established in 1965 by John Pickering who practiced as the town’s solo GP from 1965 until 1970. He returned to Dimboola in 1979 and again practiced until 2012. Following his retirement, Dr Ziggy Kusiak became the town’s GP and practiced until 2015. The clinic was serviced by locum GP’s until 2016 when we were fortunate to secure Dr Mark Amilegbe on a permanent full-time basis and Dr Kate Graham part-time.

The John Pickering Medical Centre is attached to the Dimboola Hospital, a 26 bed residential aged care unit and 4 acute care beds. Dr Amilegbe and Dr Graham care for the residents at the hospital and nursing home.

Appointments are required to see the doctors except in the case of emergencies.
The clinic is private so payment is required for consultations, however all pensioners, children under 16 and health care card holders are bulk billed.
